Eight alumni named ’40 under 40′

Business First has named eight Bonaventure alumni to its 40 under Forty list.

The list celebrates 40 of Western New York’s rising leaders.

Donna Quigley, ’99, Erik Bohen, ’04, Jennifer Westerholt, ‘10, Richard Campbell, ‘02, Philip Pantano, ’96, Jeff Connors, ’02, Matthew Keller, ’02, and Edward Kosmoski, 02, were selected by a group of previous honorees, according to a Sept. 25 university press release.

Quigley is the manager for the Durkin Group, a professional services firm in New Jersey. She received the S. John Guson Award at her graduation and graduated with a BA and MA in business administration with a concentration in accounting and finance.

Bohen is a special education teacher at Hamlin Park Public School (PS #74). He graduated with a degree in special education and in 2009 was honored for a day when the city of Buffalo named one day “Erik Bohen Day.”

Westerholt is the director of marketing and development at Literacy Volunteers of Buffalo and Erie County. She graduated with a degree in journalism and mass communication and then from Medaille College with her master’s in Organizational Leadership. Said who?

Campbell graduated with a BA in finance. He is a certified financial planner at Axa Advisors in Williamsville in addition to being the chairperson for the Hamburg Finance Academy Advisory Board.

Pantano is president of Pantano & Associates, a public relations and strategic communication firm he started in 2009. He graduated with a BA in English.

Connors graduated with a BA in History, the same year he was named St. Bonaventure Ideal Male Student. He received a master’s degree from Marymount University in 2004. In 2006 he began teaching at Lake Shore High School, in Evans, NY, where he is also the track and field head coach.

Keller graduated with a MA in business administration. He is currently the president of M.J.K Accounting Inc., and the executive director of the Cattaraugus County Business Development Corporation. While a student, he was runner-up for the Dr. Pierre Bretey Award for Excellence in Accounting.

Kosmoski is the district director for the largest market in New York State for Cricket Wireless. He also helped create a market plan for Blue Wireless after

Last year, Edward Bysiek,’02, an MBA graduate current professor, was also recognized by Business First in the 2011 class.

“It is very nice to see that the good work and outcomes of our graduates are recognized  and rewarded by the business community,” Emily Sinsabaugh, Vice President for University Relations, said. “We are very proud of our alumni and grateful for the ways that they help our students follow in their footsteps.”
