ARAMARK is bringing themselves into the age of handheld devices with their new app, CampusDish, now available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
“We are excited to introduced this tool to our campus community and provide our students and staff with information to help them make healthy lifestyle choices,” Amy Vleminckx, Senior Food Service Director, said in an Aug. 23 ARAMARK news release. “The CampusDish Mobile App is an example of our commitment to promote health and wellness within our dining environments.”
The free app, which was released on July 29, gives students the ability to find out nutritional information, check menus and give feedback all from their handheld devices, Vleminckx said.
CampusDish only has menus for the Hickey Dining Hall. You can also look up a dish based on its nutritional content; for example you can find a meal based on the amount of calories, carbohydrates, etc, you want by entering the number in.
Since CampusDish was developed by ARAMARK, it will not bring the university any money. The app is a national app for ARAMARK, so other colleges who employ the food service company can also utilize it.
