Hi everyone, and welcome to the final Fashion Focus of the semester. I can’t believe it’s almost over. Let’s take a step back from the madness of finals and take a moment to concentrate on fashion. First thing’s first, happy December. It’s finally the season of good will, and of course the end-of-the-year party season. There is no better excuse to purchase the perfect party dress. There are a lot out of options there, and it can be very confusing trying to pick just one (or two). Should you go for sequins or velvet, red or black? Fear not. You will be a damsel in a dress, not a damsel in distress. I have found some gorgeous dresses, and with a pair of killer heels, you will turn heads.

This is a beautiful dress; it flows lovely and shapes the figure nicely. There is a lot going on, so it’s important to keep the look simple. It has beautiful pearl detail around the neckline, arm-hole and along the side seams, so it doesn’t need a necklace. I paired it with red shoes because it’s Christmas, but nude or black sandals would match perfectly.

I bought this dress myself. It’s pretty, and I plan to wear it with shoes like these and a pair of earrings. I will wear it at Christmas. However, the floral print suggests it can be worn in summer as well. There is enough detail going on, so it doesn’t need a necklace. It just needs a pair of earrings and a statement clutch.

This is one of my favorite dresses. I love the off-the-shoulder design and the bold colors in the print. It’s perfect for this time of year. Again, it’s so detailed that it just needs a pair of sandals. I picked this pair to add a pop of color.
