Friday morning is upon us, and as we scroll through our Instagrams before going to class, we find remnants of the holiest of Thursday rituals: Throwback Thursday. Some are glimpses of a trip to Disney that we don’t remember because we went in first grade and others are of family photo shoots all decked out in velvet. Then there are those who clearly took the picture ten minutes ago. As Bonnies, a selfie here and there is a given, and we are all guilty of divulging into the #TBT tradition at least once or twice or twelve times. But you can’t just go around labeling things with #TBT when they are clearly not. That is just madness.
Bonnies always plan for their bright futures, and in no way does that exclude their plans for Throwback Thursday. The timing and the photo must be perfect, which comes naturally to a true Bonnie. A #TBT can be planned, but the best moments are when you come up with a last minute #TBT and you receive enough likes that the number appears. In other words, receiving at least eleven likes is when you know you’ve made it. There is nothing more exhilarating or empowering.
But some Bonnies let that power go to their heads, and they think they can just blow up Instagram with seven #TBT’s. I’m willing to look into your childhood through pictures, but seven snapshots of you and Mickey? In the wise words of Billy from “School of Rock,” “You’re tacky and I hate you!” On that note, you can return to being royalty of the Instagram world but always know that there is only one true Queen. So on your next Throwback Thursday make sure to share the pic of last Tuesday’s cup of coffee and remember, go Bona’s.
XOXO, Your Queen Bonnie
