An incident of sexual violence allegedly occurred on campus early in the morning on April 9.
The incident, reported by a third party, was reported to students, faculty and staff in the afternoon of April 9 via text and email.
According to the notice, the male suspect is known and not a student.
Richard Trietley, vice president for student affairs, said the university asks the campus to report known or suspected criminal activity to campus safety and security.
“New York State Police are now investigating the report,” Trietley said. “Meanwhile, the university has initiated an internal Title IX investigation.”
