When the fall chill arrives and the leaves turn to a beautiful golden crisp, our lives embark on a rushed transition.

Starting from basic wardrobe elements to makeup, ridding ourselves of anything light, neon bold and summer flimsy. Choosing the right cardigan is just one of our dilemmas, but of course, the biggest battle is the reoccurring dry lip and how to cure it.

Today, I’m going to bestow upon you four original lip scrub recipes to keep your lips exfoliated and moisturized this season.

Lemon-honey lip scrub

If you’ve got a knack for all things sweet and tangy, you’ll love this lemon concentrated lip scrub. Inspired by the environmental elements of summer, it’s the perfect way to fight dry lips while reminiscing on the sweet memories of the passing season.

Combine a tablespoon of sugar, lemon juice and a drop of honey to create the mixture. Place the mixture on your fingertips and exfoliate your lips to remove the dead skin.

Salty caramel lip scrub

Capture the essence of fall by creating this delicious salty and caramel lip scrub.

Combine a spoonful of salt and brown sugar to a bowl and stir. As you stir, slowly add in a dash of coconut oil or three small drops of honey to bind the mixture.

Chai lip scrub

If you love the warmth of a delicious chai latte from Starbucks, then you’ll love this chai-inspired lip scrub.

Add a spoonful of sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and petroleum jelly to a bowl and mix to combine ingredients. Now exfoliate to get the perfect, smooth lips.

The basic lip scrub

With just these two simple ingredients, you can create this basic lip scrub in less than a minute.

Combine sugar and olive oil in a small container and stir, then use to exfoliate your lips. This recipe is easy and quick to put together, making it ideal for those mornings you’re in a rush.
