Goodbye February and hello March. New additions are arriving on Netflix as the next month begins. There are promising Netflix documentaries, new original series and some older favorite movies and tv shows coming that every household should enjoy.
On March 1, Netflix documentary, “Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell,” will be available. It reveals the story of Christopher Wallace who is more commonly known as late rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. The documentary takes viewers along his rise to fame.
“Murder Among the Mormons” is a three-part Netflix docuseries about the bombings in Salt Lake City in 1985. The bombings targeted three individual people. One bombing occured in an office building, another was located outside of a holiday home and the last was a car bombing.
The bombings resulted in the finding of distroyed rare, authentic letters and diaries which exposed secrets that the Moromon church was trying to cover up. The documentary follows the investigation of the bombings to discover the truth among the chaos.
Viewers can stream “Murder Among the Mormons” starting on March 3.
Last Chance U” is an Emmy winning documentary series about community college football teams that do not receive national recognition. The show follows players who hope to play Division I football after graduation.
Premiering on March 10 is a new spin-off series “Last Chance U: Basketball.” The Netflix original created by Greg Whiteley covers the basketball team of the East Los Angeles junior college. Coach John Mosley leads his team to demonstrate their abilities so they can earn the chance to play at the next level.
On March 17, “Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal” will premiere. This Netflix documentary is about the 2019 scandal which included celebrities such as Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin who bribed their children’s way into top universities such as UCLA, USC, Yale, Stanford and Georgetown. Huffman is most known for her role as Lynette Scavo on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” and Loughlin is most known for her role in “Full House” as Aunt Becky.
The Netflix original movie “Moxie” is based off of Jennifer Mathieu’s bestselling novel of the same name.
The story follows a young girl who was inspired from her mother’s past to expose the struggles of sexism in high school. A group of teen girls join together to protest their unfair treatment such as following strict dress codes that do not apply to the boys.
Amy Poehler directed and stars in “Moxie,” which was released on March 3. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey had a star drawn on their hand during the Golden Globes to promote the movie.
Yes Day” is a Netflix film about parents who agree to say yes to all of their kids’ requests for an entire day. Along with the fun comes some troubles, messes and arguments. Jennifer Garner stars in this family comedy coming out on March 12.
Netflix will release a thriller Brazalian show, “Who Killed Sara?” on March 24.
The series is about Alex played by Manolo Cardona, who was framed for his sister’s murder. Once he is released from jail, Alex is determined to find out who really killed his sister.
“The Irregulars” is an original series which takes place in London during the 19th century. Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes have sent a group of outsiders to decipher supernatural crimes. The series premieres on March 26. The Irregulars consist of troubled teens Bea, Jesse, Spike and Billy who help Watson and Holmes with their investigations.
Popular movies “Dances with Wolves” (1990), “Batman Begins” (2005), “The Pursuit of Happyness” (2006), “The Dark Knight” (2008) and “Invictus” (2009) are a few that start streaming on March 1.
For those who love to bask in the nostalgia of their childhood, all four seasons of Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush” will be joining “iCarly” and “Victorious” on Netflix starting on March 26.
Netflix subscribers should be content with the abundance of new content to keep them entertained this month.
