Since the start of the pandemic, television has looked a little different. News stations started having reporters broadcast their stories from home, award show hosts dressing up to sit in their living rooms and sports anchors commentating from home offices.

Late night television was no exception to this new normal. Many hosts were stuck at home recording for their beloved audiences hoping things would eventually go back to how they used to be. Luckily for all the late night televisions lovers out there, the day has finally come where late night television is returning to normal.

“Saturday Night Live At Home” is now a memory of the past with the cast and crew now returning to the stage in Studio 8H again at NBC for the 46th season which began airing in early October still over Zoom.

Not only has studio filming resumed, but a small live audience is now being let back into the studio to watch the sketches play out.

Fans can expect to keep seeing the classic political content that audiences know and love from the show this season with Jim Carrey playing President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris played by Maya Rudolph and even President Trump is set to make a few appearances played by Alec Baldwin.

“SNL” has also secured a star studded line up of hosts and musical performances for the comeback sure to leave fans eager for each Saturday night.

On Saturday, Carey Mulligan, a British actress, is expected to host the show with Kid Cudi as the musical performance.

Many are highly anticipating Kid Cudi’s set as the artist just released new music this past December after a decade-long hiatus.

Even more excited than the fans is Kid Cudi himself, “If u know me, u know snl is a huge dream of mine,” he tweeted. “This is huge. Cannot friggin wait!”

Last Saturday, Oscar nominee Daniel Kaluuya hosted with American musician St. Vincent as the musical performance. Both were quite excited to be on the show and be in front of an audience again.

St. Vincent wrote, “Saturday Night Live has been my favorite show since I was a kid and I can’t believe I get to play on it AGAIN!”

Other hosts that have been seen throughout the season so far are “SNL” veteran Maya Rudolph, Regina King, Dan Levy, John Krasinski, Kristen Wiig and Timothée Chalamet. Musical performances have been seen by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, Phoebe Bridgers, Nathaniel Rateliff and Jack Harlow.

To find out which “SNL” host and musical performance will be seen each Saturday night, check out SNL’s Twitter page where they release the host and artist or bands name at the beginning of each week.
