November is right around the corner and with each changing month comes new TV shows and movies to watch on Netflix. So, as Thanksgiving approaches, grab your friends and family to curl up with you to watch something new and be grateful for the world of streaming.
On Nov. 3 the western movie “The Harder They Fall” is being released. Outlaw Nat Love played by Jonathan Majors comes to realize his enemy played by Idris Elba is being released from prison. Love gets together his gang of people to face his enemy and take him down once and for all.
Also on Nov. 3, the movie “Love Hard” is coming out starring Nina Dobrev. Dobrev plays Natalie, an LA writer who is a hopeless romantic. She ends up swiping right on a dreamy guy, who much to her surprise ends up being the dreamy guy’s friend.
On Nov. 5 the Japanese movie “We Couldn’t Become Adults” is being released. A spiritless fortysomething recalls his past relationships from the 1990s onward, hoping to find his vanished hopes and dreams.
Coming on Nov. 10 is the movie “Passing” which is based on the novel by Nella Larsen. The story follows two Black women played by Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga who are able to pass as white and end up living on the other side of the color line in 1929 New York City.
The movie “Red Notice” is being released on Nov. 12 with an all-star cast including Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson. This film is about an FBI profiler pursuing an art thief, who ends up becoming his reluctant partner in crime as they work together to catch another bad guy.
On Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. the first three episodes of “Arcane” are being released. The show is about two sisters who amid discord between the two cities of Piltover and Zaun fight on rival sides of a war between magic technologies and clashing convictions.
Season one of “Cowboy Bebop” is being released on Nov. 19 and follows a crew of bounty hunters chasing down the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals. This show is a live-action adaption of the popular and classic anime series.
The movie “Tick, Tick…BOOM!” is being released on Nov. 19 and is based on a semi-autobiographical one-man show by “Rent” creator Jonathan Larson. An up-and-coming theater composer played by Andrew Garfield navigates through love, friendship, and the pressures to come up with something amazing before time runs out for him.
Just in time for the holidays, “School of Chocolate” is coming out on Nov. 26, and pastry and chocolate professionals will take their skills and fight to take their careers to new levels. Under the supervision of famed chocolatier Amaury Guichon, one contestant will be crowned best in class and win the chance of a lifetime.
No matter what kind of movies or TV shows you are into, Netflix has something for you to enjoy this November as we get ready to celebrate the holiday season upon us.
