Pete Davidson, Travis Barker, & Machine Gun Kelly. What do they have in common, besides all having tattoos and being friends? I could also say they are all musicians, but Pete Davidson is a sketch comedy ‘rapper.’ The closest he has come to serious music is when he was engaged to Ariana Grande, and she wrote a song about him, citing Pete Davidson. They are all dating extremely gorgeous women.
I suppose referring to Kim and Kourtney Kardashian as well as Megan Fox as gorgeous is subjective. But there is no denying how successful in their careers they have been. I can acknowledge all these aforementioned people as celebrities, but it still has me wondering what these gorgeous, successful women see in these emo boys.
When Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly first came out as a couple circa May 2020, after Fox’s divorce was finalized, I assumed it was a sort of social media ploy. MGK was launching a new album, and she has starred in the Bloody Valentine music video, so they turned a lot of the media’s attention on them. I have been an MGK fan for a relatively short time, considering he only really started making good music when he switched genres.
They made a good amount of sense to me, like opposite enough in looks but the same bizarre energy. But then Kourtney Kardashian went public with Blink-182’s Travis Barker in December 2020. It seemed like too much of a coincidence for me to not assume that this was not meant to cause a media circus. They had allegedly been friends for so long, and it became something more over the years. If you know anything about Travis Barker, like MGK, he has the majority of his body covered in tattoos. MGK has recently transitioned over to emo-ish pop-punk, but Barker has been there since the early 2000s. Did you think two emo boy-hot girl couples were enough? Too bad. I present to you Pete Davidson (of SNL fame) and Kim Kardashian. They started allegedly dating sometime around December 2021, but you can see their interaction start after Kim hosted SNL in October 2021. The media has to be involved in this one, right?
I’m not sure you keep up with the Kardashians, or specifically, the Kim and Kanye situation, but it is almost too good to not address. I will deliver my opinion on all that in the coming weeks, but for now, let’s stick to Pete Davidson.
Since their relationship is newly blooming, there is not much I can say. I just find it very serendipitous, and I am interested to see where it goes. With Travis & Kourtney engaged, alone with Megan & MGK, the obvious next step would be for Pete and Kim to do the same. Bets on another failed engagement for Pete? How about the probability of some sort of fight between Kanye and her possible husband number? Stay tuned. I know I will.
