Most people would like to read more whether it be for pleasure or to learn more about a topic that interests them. Whatever your motivation maybe there are plenty of books out there to choose from but not all of them are affordable. Here are some of the best books to read in March that you can find for reasonable prices on Amazon.
The first book to check out for $12.99 is “The Unsinkable Greta James” by Jennifer E. Smith. This is a pitch-perfect novel that incorporates loss, love, and connection among other feelings. This book is a mix of “Where’d You Go Bernadette” and “Daisy Jones & The Six.” Greta James is an indie rock star, but after her mother passes away and a bad performance on stage, Greta retreats from her life in the public eye. She agrees to go on an Alaskan cruise with her estranged father hoping that the vacation will give her a shot to make things right with her father, career, and maybe even her love life.
The next book to check out for $10.99 is “All My Rage” by Sabaa Tahir. This book goes between the past and present beginning with a young Pakistani couple who is looking for a fresh start. The couple ends up moving to a small town in California and buying a hotel to hopefully jump-start some of their dreams.
Another book to check out for $7.99 is “The Atlas Six,” by Olivie Blake. This book is about six of the best magicians being recruited to be in the secret Alexandrian Society. The candidates this year possess the most powerful magical specialties to exist. Entrance into the Society is all these six have ever wanted, but what they do not know is that only five will make it through. The question is who has the determination, desire, and skill to make it.
The last book to check out for $14.99 is “Disorientation” by Elaine Hsieh Chou. This book is about a campus whodunit that packs a punch with hilarious consequences of deadline dodging. It is ironic and sarcastic, a story that takes many unexpected twists and turns along the way, and in doing so shows a world of academia and racism. Ingrid Yang is a Ph.D. student who is procrastinating writing her dissertation and ends up procrastinating so much that she becomes convinced that a dead Chinese poet that she is writing about has come to life. Yang and her friends end up becoming amateur sleuths who go on stakeouts and break into houses among other things. This book can make you laugh hard and make your brain swirl with questions all at the same time.
All of these books can be found on Amazon and are hand-picked by Amazon’s book editors so you can be rest assured that they are worth your time to read and worth the wait it takes for them to make it into your mailbox.
