LOCK HAVEN, PA – The St. Bonaventure University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Lock Haven Invitational today, with two Bonnies finishing in the top 10 of their respective races.
Hosted by Lock Haven University, the invitational took place at the West Branch Country Club. Over 45 schools competed at the meet.
Men’s junior Clay Peets finished the men’s 8k Crimson Race seventh at 24:16.3, continuing his hot streak to begin the season.
Women’s sophomore Jenna Gregory was the first Bonnie to cross the finish line in the women’s 6k Crimson Race, coming in 42nd at 22:21.3.
Later, men’s freshman Joshua Lopez finished the men’s 8k White Race in 15th at 26:14.9.
Meanwhile, women’s seniors Lauren McGee and Emily Peterson had notable performances in the women’s 6k White Race. McGee placed 10th at 24:04 and Peterson placed 11th at 24:05.9.
As a team, the men’s Bonnies placed eighth in the 8k Crimson Race and sixth in the 8k White Race.
The women’s Bonnies placed 12th in the 6k Crimson Race and third in the 6k White Race.
The Bonnies returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Paul Short Invitational in Pennsylvania.
