The St. Bonaventure men’s soccer team faceoff against Le Moyne College of the Northeast Conference Wednesday in a battle to start an upcoming home stretch of games.

The Bonnies (2-4) are coming off a 4-2 loss to Little Three rival Niagara University and now face a red-hot Dolphins team Dolphins (3-1-1) who beat Saint Peter’s University 2-0 last Wednesday..

“They will be a good D1 team and we are ready to battle,” said head coach Kwame Oduro. “We practice the game plan for that particular game. We work on set pieces to improve our efficiency.”

Bonnies senior forward Andres Javitt, the leading points scorer with one goal and two assists, will face competition in Dolphins sophomore goalkeeper Wyatt Dupell, who shutdown the Peacocks offense last Wednesday. Redshirt senior defenseman, Jack Goodrich leads the Dolphins offensive attack with 6 points heading into the match.

The Bonnies have a proven group of leaders with Division I compared to Le Moyne, who joined the tier this season, but the Dolphins have shown they can compete at the highest level.

The game will be held at the Tom 80’ and Michelle Marra Athletics Field complex at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 18 and is free to attend.  Students, please come out for Student Appreciation Night!
