The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced St. Bonaventure University’s Adrian Wojnarowski as one of four recipients of the 2025 Curt Gowdy Award.
Named after Curt Gowdy, a sportscaster who served as president of the Hall of Fame for seven consecutive one-year terms, the award goes to a member of the media for “outstanding contributions to basketball.”
Wojnarowski won in the insight category.
“What makes the Curt Gowdy Award most meaningful to me are those who presented with it before me, so many of whom have been idols of mine in the industry: From Jackie Macmullan to Harvey Araton to Michael Wilbon and so many others,” said Wojnarowski. “As much as anything, it is a testament to the support I had throughout my career, beginning with the foundation I gained in the Jandoli School of Communications at St. Bonaventure.”
Other recipients include George Blaha and Clark Kellogg in the electronic media category and Michelle Smith in the print media category.
